Our Programs
Killeen Creators is a community service organization with a mission to relieve the impact of food deserts for the poor and distressed while building individual and community capacity through our three programs:
Community Gardens
We maintain and build new community gardens in the parts of Killeen most impacted by food deserts.
ART of Recovery
Awesome Real-Life Therapy. Incorporating creativity and healing into every-day life.
Civic Empowerment
We strive to help community members engage with their community through community art initiatives, voter registration, and various volunteering opportunities.

Operation Art of Recovery
Operation Art of Recovery (OAR) is a therapeutic art program developed by Killeen Creators. Our mission is to draw our military and artist communities together to create spaces and opportunities for hope & healing through art, nature & creativity.
We are Killeen Creators. We grow community.
We're a community service organization with a mission to combat food insecurity, post-traumatic stress (PTSD), and disenfranchisement by building individual and community capacity through our Community Garden, Civic Empowerment, and Art of Recovery initiatives.
Come GROW with us!

“ We chose the name Killeen Creators because we believe in empowering people through our individual and our collective ability to CREATE. Each day, with every thought, word, and deed, we CREATE - our selves, our relations, and our greater Killeen community. ”
